The late Steve Jobs was the last owner of the historic Jackling House. Steve Jobs was the brilliant mind behind the Apple devices. Originally built and designed for Daniel Jackling, Steve Jobs became the final owner of the Jackling House. When Jobs bought the mansion, he planned on tearing down the historic mansion to build a much smaller residence. However, a historic preservation group was against his plans and hoped that the historic structure will be relocated rather than torn down. Jobs then went through a court battle requesting the court to give him permission to build a smaller abode. In 2011, Jobs finally won the battle and demolished the Jackling House.
